3 Mini Painting Lessons -

START HERE! Welcome From Jed Dorsey

Welcome! I am thrilled that you are here! I love painting, teaching and seeing students grow in creativity and confidence. Thank you for joining me on this challenge adventure :)

A few things before we get started:

  1. We will begin by using PAINTINGS as our reference - not actual photos. The reason for this is that I've found this is a great first step. Instead of having to interpret a photo yourself, you can see how I have interpreted it and paint along with me. In paintings 4 and 5 you WILL have the choice to paint from a reference photo if you want.
  2. Please do not sell these paintings. Consider these paintings to be a springboard for your own original work!
  3. These pieces are my own creative design so use them for learning. Feel free to give away but I would appreciate if you wrote on the back, "Completed in lesson at Acrylic University with Jed Dorsey." Thank you!
  4. When posting on your social media. You may want to share your paintings with your family and friends. That's awesome! If you do please use the hashtags #acrylicuniversity and #jeddorseyart. Thank you!
  5. Let's have some fun!! The goal of these short lessons is for you to feel encouraged and motivated to paint. I do most of these paintings in about 30 minutes, but please feel free to take longer if you need to. But also, try not to get bogged down in the details unless you want to!

Let's get started! If you are interested in further painting instruction, head to Acrylic University!
